Steve Webb

Steve Webb turned a small idea of managing the gig poster business into one of Victoria’s most successful printing companies.   Webb started out working as a promoter but was unhappy with the city’s way of publizing events. He saw an opportunity and turned it into a lucrative business. When Webb was working as a promoter he saw the need for a regulated system to control the posting of event posters.   “It occurred to me that people were wasting their money and time” says Webb. He approached the city and the clubs in Victoria with a proposal to give him the contracts for their posters in return for managing their circulation. He would put up posters and ensure equal representation for all. It was a perfect solution. Chris Palliser

When Chris Palliser talks about radio his passion for community and personal connection shows through. The medium of radio gives Palliser a platform to connect with people and his local community. He started his career in radio after completing his certificate in Digital Production at Camosun College. He then pursued work for various smaller radio stations in Nanaimo and Fort McMurray. His work experience in both Nanaimo and Fort McMurray set forth his passion for being involved in and contributing to his community.             Palliser has had a wide variety of experience when it comes to radio. He worked at a small mom-and-pop radio station in Fort McMurray for three years and came to love the community minded aspect of radio.
